Recognition

One of the keys to living more fully is to free yourself from recognition. And when I say this, it's not that we can't recognize when someone stands out or does something right, but that we stop waiting for it for ourselves.

I don't understand why a human being is so addicted to recognition. Perhaps because as children our parents did not recognize us enough for our small daily achievements? Maybe because when we do something wrong there is immediately someone who highlights it but when we do something right, few congratulate us? Maybe because it's what the media sells? Maybe because it feeds our ego?

Surely it is a mixture of several reasons. In any case, over time I have realized that waiting for recognition separates us from being ourselves and identifies a state of lack of personal security and self-love. When we expect recognition we manifest our insecurity and at the same time we are handing over our power to the person from whom we expect validation, leaving our power and personal development in the hands of someone else.

It is, therefore, very important for your personal development path to eliminate the addiction to recognition. For this, the most important thing is to know why we are doing the things we do: with what purpose and objective. It is also important to put all our attention and energy into what we do to get the best result no matter what others think or think. When these two things are clear, we begin to stop needing recognition. When we are clear about our purpose and know that we are giving our best to achieve a goal, we are confident people and empower ourselves by assuming any consequences of our decision and work. We accept success and failure as inherent aspects of human development.

However, we must pay some attention and care to this work. There is a narrow boundary between empowerment and pride. It is necessary to find a healthy balance that humility will bring us. It is very easy to fall into the trap of believing oneself superior, or being above others when it comes to empowering ourselves. In addition, society tends to idolize talented or relevant figures, and that is tremendously dangerous since we can fall into the trap of the ego and cause a lot of damage, both internally and externally. A good indication of having fallen into this trap is to analyze if I am able to appreciate and recognize how beautiful and beautiful others do. If I don't see beauty or success in what others do, it's very likely that I'm in an egoic state. However, if I am able to congratulate and recognize other people, I am at a healthy point of personal empowerment. Remember, it is very important to express recognition and it is limiting to be waiting for it.

Blessings for your day!
